[Leica] Moving Lightroom folders: Problem 2

the version 3 has USB3 only--works fine

the version 2 has USB2 & firewire 800--works fine

the only time i really see a delay is when starting up, it takes a while to grab the location of all 75,000 images, less than a minute, it seems happier if i don't do much until they are all listed

have not tried sharing--they make NAS boxes also
