I don?t remember when I first tasted it, could have been during my 2013 trip to Korea, during which I fell in love with the place and its food. At that point I was familiar with Chinese and Japanese food (which I also like very much) but Korean, not so much. Now I love kimchi, and I can get the genuine Korean one at the Chinese grocery in the center of Alicante. They have a pretty good selection of Chinese, Korean and Japanese things. Unfortunately they do not carry South Asian stuff, so for my Indian spices and various species of mango pickle I usually head to an English shop (!) in Benidorm.
