[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]There's a smaller number of aircraft still flying over our house at the moment as the great circle routes from Europe to the US generally fly over Ireland, and quite a few - like Frankfurt to New York - fly more or less directly at 34,000 feet over our house in Monkstown. While a sunny day right now the atmospheric haze are interfering with clear shots. I'd forgotten I had an old 2x converter, but just remembered this morning, and dug it out. It's a 42mm screw mount Tokina, so will match perfectly with my Pentacon 300/5.6 - a really historic high end combo :-) I'm going to set it up on my patio to see if I can catch an aircraft or two - there's a Frankfurt to Washington 787-10 Dreamliner on its way to the airspace over Wales right now, so maybe I'll be lucky with the haze in a few minutes. Flight Radar 24 is a great program.
