It was possible to see occasional lockups with the EVF with the initial firmware. Because the EVF functions are controlled by body and/or EVF in combination, sometimes you might be presented with a blank screen rather than an actual lockup too (the EVF being able to review as well as LiveView). As far as I know the lockup issue was entirely cured by the newer firmware. At least I have not seen a single hiccup with mine.
