Did it have an EVF attached? Mine locked up quite often on original firmware 
with EVF but hasn't done so with current firmware.... Never had it lock up 
without EVF though.

I did notice a few times the M locking up on me. It's possible I was too 
fast for the buffer. This was a loaner so I don't know what firmware it has. 
I would just take the battery out and all was well again.
