Ever been on a fast moving/spinning merry-go-round? Looks blurred to me.

lrzeitlin at aol.com sed: Look around the room. Do thing appear blurred when
you move your eyes. Of course not.

The reason for that is that we do not move our eyes, we dart our eyes.

"I reject the concept that sports should be shown blurred to imply action"

I guess you'll need to stop watching sports altogether, then Larry, because
zoom lenses, rapid trucking shots alongside and overhead sky cam views of
the action are also not natural to the eye, and there's lots of blurring in
sports coverage. Maybe by your mind it shouldn't be, but then my career
was in TV and film, and I'm a junkie for that stuff.

I was wall to wall Tour de France, and marveled at the tech accomplishment
they wrought. Blur city, but they brought rural France to rural La
Louisiane.

When Garrett Brown strapped on the Stedicam and ran up the stairs with
"Rocky" it all changed, for sports, for movies and for news.
