Or saving everything with something like Ghost on another medium. It's just a dirty trick to force us to buy something new. Recently and for the first time, I had a major crash down with Win XP Pro. I saw a blue screen with a message saying so and so wich meant a Windows faillure I couldn't solve myself. I'm lucky to have someone I trust, a real pro who knows his job. I'll have my machine back soon with some improvements. With Win 95 and 98 I had a blue screen at least every month. Win XP Pro seems to be much better and I really regret Dos 6 etc. The middle ages maybe but with no problems. I went trough a real hell when I tried to install all my photo softwares on that Win 8 Laptop. Including the software I received with the Leica M-9. A real nightmare when I tried to load pictures taken with my camera. I am no fool, I will keep all my Leica and Hasselblad (film) cameras and a stock of films, including some 100 feet boxes of Ektachrome etc in my freezer. See wat Tina told us when she came back from her recent trip in Europe.
