(-: Most luxury goods manufacturers of similar items (watches, pens, etc) stand behind their products for at least 25 years, "lifetime guarantees" are not uncommon, even Cross have one. Patek or IWC will repair any watch they have ever made, even the quartz ones, but Rolex won't, they have the aforementioned 25 year limit, after which they sell all the parts they have to the highest bidder... In this context I thought 5-10 years might be a fair time for a digital camera from a luxury marque. In case you need Rolex repairs, these guys seem to have cornered most of the old parts: http://watchrestoration.co.uk/ I have had a couple of old Rolex watches repaired/serviced by them, and they do a decent job. I see they have a very tempting IWC Mark XI for sale.... Cheers Jayanand Sent from my iPad On 28-Jan-2013, at 3:23 AM, afirkin at afirkin.com wrote: > No issue with fixing it.
