With SLRs I very seldom found myself reaching for 35 or 50. I did enjoy my 20 and 28. When I switched to Leica M (film) I pretty quickly found that my favorite FL was 35mm, followed by 50 and only occasionally 28. I guess that was partly because of moving my work to an urban area from rural. Going to the M8, the Tri-Elmar has become my "perfect" street lens and spends most of its time on 35. With the framing equivalent to 35-50-65, I guess that means I have gone to 50mm being my fave. ric On Jan 19, 2013, at 8:38 AM, Jayanand Govindaraj <jayanand at gmail.com> wrote: > Frank, > So do I - I find the 85mm the most used focal length for me - especially as > I tend to shoot a lot of people on the streets, as you would have noticed! > Cheers > Jayanand > > On Sat, Jan 19, 2013 at 3:49 PM, Frank Dernie > <Frank.Dernie at btinternet.com>wrote: > >> I have read that often over the last couple of decades, but personally I >> find 28 too wide to be of use unless in -very- crowded situations, which I >> avoid due to claustrophobia..
