OTT: Unless you use a TTL flash on the R8 or intend to shoot over 1/1000 the R3 will produce the same pictures, so your money is definitely not lost. I sold my R8 before the R3MOT. I now only keep an R4, out of laziness or nostalgia? This I can't tell. Happy shooting.
