Do you agree >>>> that > you can create art only when it's your intention to do so?<<<< Hi Tina & others. Photojournalism as such was never considered an "ART FORM" until MOMA produced the gallery showing of "FAMILY OF MAN." back in the early '50's! And then published as an amazingly beautiful book! Bought my first copy in New York around 1952? 0r so? And still have it in my personal book collection! After that, "photojournalism in many forms became referred to as art, as we see it in many cases today. Actually I'm being quite polite when using "photography as referred to as "A work of art?????????????" When in truthful reality? In many cases it's nothing more than a badly infocus, out of focus, poorly cropped, lighting atrocious image of pure "CRAP AND AN INSULT TO BE EVEN REFERRED TO AS A PHOTOGRAPH OR ART!" But then I'm merely a cold hearted SOB who can not tolerate crappy photography passed off as ART when in fact it's nothing more than a piece of crap! Calling a photo "AN ART OBJECT AT TIMES" regardless what MOMA may have called it! When it should've been relegated to "FILE 13 RE-CYCLE BIN!" ... Be that as it may......... some body had to say it! MOMA or not! cheers, Dr. ted _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
