I should have stated somewhere that I use and know only about desktop
models.
Our luck with Laptops ( Mostly Toshiba) was dismal at best. We are not going
there again....not for serious or semi serious computing.

The 1920/1200 is my laptop resolution (now RIP as model is dropped) but I
have seen the IBM screen you mention, the Dell laptop worked out about 50%
more for similar spec as it needed to be a Precision.
