So many of my pictures are portraits of one sort or another, so a larger format camera is no slower in that situation, and I figured that the look of 120 was really nice as well. It's not that I'm in love with the Autocord--it does have its quirks, including a worn roller that will produce scratches on film unless I liberally lubricate it with neatsfoot oil before loading a roll (!!!)--but until a better one comes along it's a nice friend. Plus, it gets LOTS of comments. It also forces me to think more about each picture, since I'm only getting 12 images in lieu of the 72 I'd have for the same amount of developer and fixer--not to mention the film expense and need to reload regularly. Now I'm asking, "Do I really want/need to shoot that?", and as a result have about eight or nine keepers out of twelve, rather than 15-20 out of 38. However, at an event with a lot of photo opps, such as this coming Thursday's car show, I'll probably bring the M2 or M3. My kind of scene! I'd also noticed that you're shooting a lot with the Autocord. Did you just get it? I have an ancient Rolleiflex Automat from 1938 that has uncoated lenses. It needs the shutter overhauled, so I don't use it anymore. I love the TLR though. -- Chris Crawford Fine Art Photography Fort Wayne, Indiana 260-437-8990 http://www.chriscrawfordphoto.com My portfolio http://blog.chriscrawfordphoto.com My latest work! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Christopher-Crawford/48229272798 Become a fan on Facebook On 4/22/12 1:10 AM, "Jim Shulman" <jshulman at judgecrater.com> wrote: >Thanks, Gerry.
