Yep! Had mine 18 months or so. I never had the previous model to compare
though.
It is demonstrable that the new design has less focus shift. Whether you
notice in practical use is dependant on how you use the lenses of course.
Oh and it costs a young fortune. Surprise surprise. For whatever it's worth
they sell on eBay here for at least 20% more than the new list price!
Very difficult to find, but that might describe most of the lenses.

Notice that I did not type FWIW as that may trip certain acronym
hypersensitive reactions ;-)
