I spent 10 days in Kenya with my trusty Gitzo monopod holding up my
200-400 lens. I was shooting out of Land Rovers and Toyota Land
Cruisers and had no problems. The safari company had bean bags for
use, but I found the monopod to work just fine. In fact, with the heft
of the lens and the amount of time we spent on game drives, I couldn't
imagine shooting without it.
