If its on a sponge you don't feel it and its a disaster. Your fingers can get the excess water off. Its not like you are squeegeeing something dry. If you've used the right amount of photo Flo and your water is not too terrible you'd be doing ok with some water sheeting down your negs. Just get rid of most of it with your first two fingers. Of either hand. -- Mark R. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/winterdays/ > From: Herbert Kanner <kanner at acm.org> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2012 14:53:58 -0800 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] Film development ? > > I'm being courageous and writing before reading all the other replies. > > I seem to remember, more than a decade ago when I was working with > film, that I wiped the film with one of those high-quality sponges > before hanging it up to dry in a dust-free environment, i.e. a shower > stall.
