I have reprocessed the image with no capture sharpening, and very slight final sharpening, and, on my monitor, I can no longer see the halo. I don't want the phone-camera to get the blame for my poor post work. This was a case of using ACR to adjust a jpeg image, and I assumed that capture sharpening would help.
