[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]The issue is not ease of focusing or stop down shooting but putting an exquisite and pricey and manual Leica lens designed to cover a 24x36mm area on a camera which has a 18x13.5mm format with a diagonal of 22.5mm and is otherwise a pile of compact electronics. That does not excite me nor appeal to my common sense. Should such a camera have at least a 1.5 crop , 1.33 crop or 1x crop and have no or minor issues as to seamless use I'd be paying more attention to that. However this is partly becuae I'm not aware of anybody using such a set up getting some real results that I can remember seeing. People talk about their cameras. They don't talk about their pictures. If someone has a gallery perhaps on the LUG please direct me to it and I'm sure seeing a body of work done with such an arrangement would get me to modify my thinking and change my tune. Especially if its an impressive showing. I'm talking about a folder with 4/3s pix in it taken with Leica glass on a GAF-1 body. Or similar 4/3's option which I seem to be dimly aware of. Perhaps some semi serious application.
