Today's LA Times had a brief synopsis on the situation in Wisconsin.....

The Bill that passed apparently had ( at least ) these three pieces ....

1) The right to collective bargaining was limited in the amounts for
"demands" for pay increases...
2) The right to collective bargaining for Free Health Care was taken
away......
3) The right to collective bargaining for State only paid contributions to
Pensions was taken away.

Cops and Firemen were exempt from these conditions.

The right for Collective Bargaining was not removed, it was limited in these
areas.....

George... I would be happy to pay more taxes on the basis that for every
dollar I or a Company are asked to pay out, that TWICE that number was
removed from the budget, and NOT FUNDED in any way.. However, for every
dollar they collect, the Government seems to pay it out plus an additional
few cents, making the situation worse.

The only way to balance the budget is to first cut spending, then increase
taxes, temporarily.
