I sincerely believe that we (US of A) have a strong system of government. We have steadily worked at using that strength to also make it fair (however imperfectly). Yet at this moment we find ourselves standing at a point in history where we may very well lose the fair part. President Eisenhower warned us of the dangers of the military-industrial-complex. I don't think he could have even imagined what has occurred in the last 50 years; It appears to me that our governments are currently being run by Mega-Corporations which care not a bit for the "common good" or sustainable "ecosystems." > Over here these ar*eholes gave themselves titles, Kings, Lords and so > forth. Sadly - now we can't even see those who actually pull the strings and put their puppets in power. > It seems astonishing that a government of an > advanced country with an apparently superb system of education has managed > to > have a system which seems to have ended up like this. The mass of so-called common people will test the veracity of their systems. We can observe this going on all around the globe at this moment. > Many seem to object in principle to strong government but this must be > what they > have been told not anything supported by evidence. It is nothing more than a false talking point; put forth by those who hold the reigns of wealth and power; to appeal to the uninformed or misinformed. > Scandinavian countries are the lesson we should follow IMHO. Agreed. Up until these most recent times. Regards, George Lottermoser george at imagist.com http://www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist
