I traveled from coast to coast photographing Churches it seemed like. Just a tad different from photographing Europe in which they are called Cathedrals; involving not one but multiple spires. My point is having done that in Europe I didn't think I'd also come back here to America and be doing that some more. You can be a secular person but that doesn't stop your photography from almost being centered on things which come from religion. Buildings with points. Big ones. Lots of seats. And a great Echo. -------------------- Mark William Rabiner Photography http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/ mark at rabinergroup.com Cars: http://tinyurl.com/2f7ptxb > From: Sonny Carter <sonc.hegr at gmail.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Tue, 9 Nov 2010 10:21:59 -0600 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] IMG: Election Day > > In this country most small communities do not have much in the way of > public > buildings. > > Schools and Firehouses are usual locations for public meetings or > gatherings. > > In these parts, most schools are consolidated, so not every community has > one. > > The Volunteer Fire Department Engine house isn't heated, nor does it have > chairs, so the community meets in the only logical place, the Church. > > > > > > On Tue, Nov 9, 2010 at 8:44 AM, Gary Pinkerton <gpinkcp at msn.com> wrote: > >> >> Church buildings are 'popular' spots for holding elections; I've always >> thought it was a little ironic [or something :) >> >>> Date: Tue, 9 Nov 2010 08:09:36 -0500 >>> From: images at comporium.net >>> To: lug at leica-users.org >>> Subject: Re: [Leica] IMG: Election Day >>> >>> We vote every year in the Lutheran church in our small town. >>> >>> Tina >>> >>> On Tue, Nov 9, 2010 at 1:38 AM, Nathan Wajsman <photo at frozenlight.eu> >> wrote: >>> >>>> In a church?!
