One of the many things I love about macro (and micro) photography are the elements of surprise and discovery. I literally could not see that color without either photographing the critter or taking a magnifying glass to it. When I open macro images on the screen I generally have a "wow! I didn't know that" reaction. (or a "s**t I missed the focus" or "damn I hate wind" reaction) Two things turned me on as young (7-10) boy: drawing and my microscope. At 12 photography was added as a third thrill. (by 13 or 14 - girls were added). And that's the way it's been ever since. ;~) Regards, George Lottermoser george at imagist.com http://www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist On Aug 3, 2010, at 6:25 PM, Jim Nichols wrote: > Beautiful image of a colorful critter, George.
