I wish they would review digital backs for microscopes, but I doubt they would get relevant samples from the manufacturers. We've switched to digital for work totally now, my last work recorded on film (on Kodachrome) was published recently: http://www.mapress.com/zootaxa/2010/f/z02348p022f.pdf we acknowledged Kodachrome and its long history in the paper. I used to love the anticipation of those yellow boxes arriving in the mail.
