Too much Yang and not enough Yin maybe? "DxOMark Sensor is composed of objective and repeatable measurements, but the way they are aggregated is arbitrary!" We have indeed arbitrarily chosen to balance landscape (Dynamic Range), portrait (Color Sensitivity), and action photography (Low-Light ISO) equally as we attempt to answer the needs of typical photographers. Depending on your personal use of your camera, you may want to weight these measures differently. For the sake of simplicity, we chose the simplest possible combination as an average of all three use-cases ** *Disclaimer:** This dxomark review evaluates **only **the selected camera?s RAW sensor performance metrics (i.e., Color Depth, Dynamic Range, and Low-Light ISO), and should not be construed as a review of the camera?s overall performance, as it does not address such other important criteria as image signal processing, mechanical robustness, ease of use, flexibility, optics, value for money, etc. While RAW sensor performance is critically important, it is not the only factor that should be taken into consideration when choosing a digital camera.* Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman On 23 March 2010 08:09, Richard Man <richard at imagecraft.com> wrote: > Boohoo, sensor only as good as a 4 year old 5D.
