I work on a MacBook. I have a Time Capsule at home and an external firewire
drive at work.

I switch TimeMachine to use them when switching locations so I have backups
at two locations.

PS, While I think TimeMachine works pretty well, I'd recommend backing up to
a simple external drive as TimeCapsule tends to be slow(wireless) and takes
over the machine pretty frequently. My firewire 800 will do a comparable
backup in less than 20% of the time.
