I make great efforts to neither bang my cameras up or let them get  
wet. Sometimes it happens though and I think the most important thing  
is to get the battery out and get plenty of dry air to it, make sure  
it does not remain enclosed while damp. The faster it dries out the  
less likelihood of damage.
