In the first instance, I used a trap from the local Animal Control department of our small city. I baited it with dry cat food, and it took two tries to get the trigger set sensitive enough to trap him/her. In this case, Animal Control picked up the trap and relocated the animal. When I saw the second one, I at first thought that the first one had found its way back. I borrowed a similar trap from my son and caught it on the first try. I took it about fifteen miles out in the county and released it near picnic area dumpsters, and it was happy to head for the bushes. If you try this approach, realize that anything the claws can reach will be shredded when he/she realizes the trap has closed. I cut the bottom from a plastic jug to use as a bait container. Place the bait as far from the door as possible.
