Oh no, I still have a D90 and plenty of Nikon gear for shooting  
watches. It actually works out better than the D3 because my  
effective magnification is greater, and the built in flash commander  
means I don't sacrifice a speedlight to master commander mode. Also,  
it's a lot lighter.

The M8 is pretty much useless for macrophotography :)

Try the new voigtlander 15/4.5 II in M mount. Great lens for  
architecture. And yes, generally I shoot unconventionally...
