And I also like much of the new stuff that has been built in London during the past couple of decades. Time does not stand still. If 300-400 years ago they had decided just to preserve the old, then we would not have St. Paul's Cathedral or many of the other iconic buildings that we admire today. A city is dynamic. London has been worked on and evolving for 2000 years and will continue to do so. As for Paris, I find that for example La D?fence has some of the most stunning architecture on the planet.
