Although balanced interconnects (with the necessary driving/receiving  
gear at both ends, and if the pair-twisting is on the money) can  
really make the noise disappear.

Also, I think these Reissen (sp?) shields do really make a difference  
in some applications, whatever the connector.

In any case, keep them contacting surfaces clean...
