Both have the same graphic card, but I've compared both at the same time with the same pictures in the Fnac and 24" looks better for me. I completely agree Chris opinion " The glossy screens are high in contrast", I've not yet calibrated mine, but I think it works really fine. I agree too Tina opinion, IMO mate screens are better, but iMac not offer this possibility, Eizo is a very good option if you want a complementary monitor, but I think that a Samsung for half the price could be enought. I'm very happy with Apple, even so I'm still a new user, everybody says me that Mac is a better tool. Time Machine is a great tool (automatic back up). I've assisted to a big demo of Aperture 2.1 IMO is a great software and cheaper than LR, I'm hesitating, but the use I can do of it is quite limited because I'm not a digital shooter, I scann all my films on a Epson Perfection 3170. I hope these 2 cents helps...
