The prices are so out of line with what most people can afford if they are an amateur. In fact I no longer shoot Leica ( oops the cat is out of the bag). For rangefinder like performance I've gone back to the Contax G2 with great lenses, all the bells and whistles. I looked at used M's but they are still expensive - $1400 for an M6 with rangefinder patch flare - no thank you . M7 and MP still too pricey. for street photography style its the GRD or olympus epic. For 1/2 the price of the M8 I could get the new Nikon DSLR with real movie making capabilities. Sorry I'm more interested in the output than I'm in the input side of things these days. Oh BTW I've gone back to using my Rollei Automat and that was a hoot. ernie nitka Kyle Cassidy wrote: > In the serious discussion I noticed several people said or implied that > they would probably never buy another M body.
