[Leica] OT: New Nikon D700 full frame

Not so sure about that math....... 200 * 1.5 = 280 ?  ( given the data
below.....)

Crop factors are bogus numbers created by marketing types to get stuff sold.
You get the same precise results by using the full sensor and cropping in PS
later.  It is NOT a 300 mm lens.  It is a 200 mm Lens with a smaller sensor.
The angle of view has changed, not the FL.

I am really getting to sound like a broken record......  but someone must
keep this list correct, technically......

I took him to mean 300 f2.0 with the DX body 1.5X crop factor, like  
the D300. You're correct with the 1.4X extender, er almost, 280mm f2.8.
