I experienced some pain in the area of a rear molar, and my dentist recommended that I go to the best specialist in our area for root canals through the 30-year old crown. He started the work through the crown and the crown came off, so the canals were completed and the old crown was "temporarily" cemented in place. My mouth was wide open for two hours. Flash forward about three days and I find that I can only open my mouth 12mm. That was three weeks ago and I am still eating through a 12mm slit. All of the consultations that I have had say that I must stay on a soft diet until the swelling in the jaw muscle goes away. To be sure, this is not fun.
