Mark, I'm terribly afraid now that some folks might jump on me for fussing 
about the theory stuff.
However, my read of both lenses' specs is that they are very well corrected, 
contrasty, accurate and flat of field, most especially
on the APSC size sensor. I can see your case for using the 50 on the D200. I 
was only thinking as a film camera user. Can't fault
you for lusting after the primes, either. Go ahead and buy one, I'm looking 
forward to seeing your results.

Thanks I  can't make hide nor hare out of those MTV graphs I hope the 100 is
close to the 5o because it's the 50 I'm drooling over and would get the most
use out of.

Later on I could use all of them. Give up zooms for my sins.
