Aside from the sensor, I just draw a BIG LINE between cameras
with good visual focus confirmation and all the other cameras with
poor visual focus confirmation - whether EVF, or all the DSLR's
with poor screens and so on. To me it's a question of knowing the
exact focus point (RF) or *seeing* what is in focus (a good SLR
with DOF preview).

My bro' opted for a nice Fuji digicam. He took a bunch of pics of
my new son and brought them to me - 75% or so were out of
focus, but it wasn't something he could *see* in the viewfinder
or on the little LCD - and he's taken photo classes, had his own
wet darkroom for some time, etc.
