And that's serious snow - though it looks as though, luckily, you didn't get the 40-70 mph winds with yours. :-) -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Richard S. Taylor Sent: Monday, January 24, 2005 11:22 AM To: lug@leica-users.org Subject: [Leica] Snow and UK Pix As others have mentioned, we did indeed get snow here this weekend, about 2 feet locally; unusual, though not unheard of. This was taken at the height of the storm. http://gallery.leica-users.org/CURRENT/L1000532_web. I've been continuing to work on the photos from my trip to the UK last summer. Here are a few more. 1. Cambridge - Round Church. Leica M7 50 2.8 Elmar-M. Commercial scans from Portra 400 VC. This is two shots of the church combined in Photoshop. http://gallery.leica-users.org/PLACES/8A_0242_3_web. 2. Cambridge. Olympus C-60 Auto Mode exposure taken as the average of the B&W areas. In retrospect, while I like the result, I think it would have been better with half a stop less exposure. http://gallery.leica-users.org/PLACES/P7070009_web 3. Bury St. Edmunds. Leica M7 50 2.8 Elmar-M, commercial scan converted to B&W in Photoshop. http://gallery.leica-users.org/PLACES/18_0413_web. Will be pleased to get your comments, as always. -- Regards, Dick Boston MA _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
