Someone suggested I check out Fry's selection of BW laser printers. I do a lot of writing, although one would never know it from my typos, which runs through BW ink. The laser, on the other hand, is considered better for text. The ones I used, popped out sheets of paper like they were being blown by the wind. If it's a low end one, the $149.00 ones are usually discounted on weekends to $99.00. The cartridge cost can be anywhere from $59 to $99, and are refillable.
