Scanning is slower and less comfortable than just downloading from the Compact Flash but the image quality, with R8 and Vario Elmar 21-35, whatever the value of the pictures if any, is there. I think I need to test the new R digital back to see if this image quality is preserved and the importance of getting less wide lenses for the digital sensor cropping. Probably I'll make a comparison ,if I get loaned this R back what is almost sure, between the EOS and the Leica.
