We got the locals (in this case the students of the local high school) and some adults in the community (shop owners, parents, etc.) to sit in the cars and talk about things that concern them. Topics like drugs, sex, violence, relationship advice, music all came up. The photo class and the video class documented the whole thing and then had an exibit. All of the people in the photos and videos were at the opening along with people from other cities in the neighboring areas. The exibit was a hit on multiple levels. The kids liked seeing themselves in the pictures and videos and more conversations came up about the topics that were discussed that day. The photo students all got to be stars for a night too.
