I also have been on the LUG a few years - about 4 I think. I probably was not clear. It is of course USEABLE on cameras other than the M3 but they WERE made for M3 - the M2 version has no eyes and brings up the 35mm frame - absent in the M3 of course. Use on a non M3 is possible but not intended and naturally results in a loss of rangefinder accuracy. My sources include Laney van Hasbroek and Lager of course and owning the lens and cameras in question - I haven't used an M2 in years though. I am also a bit disappointed by the lack of accuracy in LUG replies these days. There have been several cases of confusing the eyes on the M3 35mm lenses intended to reduce the viewfinder magnification such that the 50mm framelines match the 35mm field of view with the eyes for the 50mm DR which are intended to correct the viewfinder and rangefinder for closeup use. The point of my post was to disabuse the individual of the idea that removing the eyes from his M3 lens was necessary for using it on a non M3. Perhaps I was not clear enough in my explanation. If the point of your post was to annoy me. You were MUCH more successful. Frank - ---------- > >> The 35 mm lenses with eyes are for M3 only.
