They are not removeable easily, or, depending on age and model, at all. They bring up the 50 frame line because the 50 line with the optics in the eye gives 35mm view. Dan is thinking about the 50 where the optics are prisms to compensate for focus and parallax in the close range. cheers Frank - ---------- > Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 15:20:29 -0500 > From: "Dan Post" <dpost@triad.rr.com> > Subject: Re: [Leica] Question for LUG: frameline on M3 for 35mm summaron lens > Message-ID: <001401c0a99f$8cf478a0$32d25818@triad.rr.com> > References: <F2373sl3xbYiMCIqtQv000055c2@hotmail.com> > > Wei- > With the eyes, you use the normal 50mm framelines, and as I recall, to take > off the eyes, you have to set the lens distance scale to infinity to slide > them off.... > Dan > - ----- Original Message ----- > From: wei zhang > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Sent: Saturday, March 10, 2001 2:19 PM > Subject: [Leica] Question for LUG: frameline on M3 for 35mm summaron lens > > > Hi all, > Just received a 35mm f3.5 Summaron lens with eyes, and mount it onto my > sweet M3.
