Other than the RF should align on the same image plane as when the optics record critical focus on that plane.. You probably knew this. My M6 happens to be perfectly aligned. On my 35mm Summicron, if I focus at 6' and use f/5.6, everything from 5' to 8' is sharp. I guess I'm lucky. With my 1.4 ASPH at f/1.4, the exact spot where I aligned the RF is critically sharp on the film. Ditto with my 90/2.8 at f/2.8 My M6 was new in February. I tried a new M6HM first and didn't like it. Got the classic instead and it has been perfect in every way. Don't forget, the M6TTL is a new "version" and probably has a different alignment procedure at the factory. This is one reason I rarely buy new versions of anything. No R8's here for at least a couple of more years. Jim
