This can be a problem when mixing results from M and brand "x" SLR. I know. I had this problem years ago and, as a result, standardized on a single lens manufacturer for all of my work. I do a lot of publishing. Some printers will "gang scan" images. This is a real problem when the different images in one scan have different color bias'. And to scan each image separately, is very costly. I'll stick to Leica lenses across the board, thank you. It eliminates many problems.
