Subject: [Leica] *Need* an opinion

...for a change, rather than offering one, I *need* an experienced
opinion.  I've been offered to purchase an 85mm Nikkor in LTM which if I
accept it I must buy sight-unseen and without return privilege as it is
from an estate.  The person who contacted me is a serious hobbyist
photographer whose assessment of the lens' condition (mint glass, few
minor scratches in the chrome barrel) I trust implicitly; however neither
of us has any knowledge of its performance.  I wonder if anyone has any
hands-on experience with this lens and could comment as to its sharpness,
contrast and propensity for flare, at the various apertures and focussing
distances.   Comparisons to Leica 90mm lenses would be appreciated.
