Also, unfortunately, the blasted adapters have the habit of loosening up just enough to break the electrical contact at the wrong time. Since my M3 was acquired for use rather than collectibility, I opted for the ultimate solution and had the original sockets replaced with the PC type and, at the same time, the flashbulb socket sync was converted to electronic flash.
