Nathan, THANK YOU for the photo of St. George's Hall. It's one of my
favorite buildings - the masterpiece of Harvey Lonsdale Elmes. I have a
guidebook to Liverpool architecture wherein it's called the greatest
classical monument of the 19th century. When I was on my motorcycle trip to
the Isle of Man in 1993, I got to see this edifice for about 30 seconds
while we were stopped at a red light, but I wasn't able to pull over and
get any pictures, since we were on a tight schedule for the ferry.

I love the Liver Bldg. too, but on the other hand, most of the newer
buildings don't do much for me. The museum isn't bad, but REBA North - ugh.
(I don't dislike all modern buildings - we have a Calatrava for our art
museum that is wonderful.)
