Beginning in the redwoods with this shot and then move to the right. Lassen NP, we were treated to a faint milky way and a crescent moon. Could not see them with the naked eye. This was days before the big display the other day, which I cannot see from the heart of the Los Angeles basin.? If you look at this one large you can see the Big Dipper low on the horizon with the Northern Lights and the Milky Way. My father-in-law and I have shot the lake many times in our travel and every time have been disappointed as any potential clouds have always either disappeared by sunset or it has clouded over too much with no light.? Well, solo this trip, I finally hit it at the right time.? They start here: Sunset Mono Lake Tuffa-1003369.jpg | Aram Langhans | Flickr <https://www.flickr.com/photos/24330215 at N06/54064937296/in/album-72177720321139089/> The rest are some fall color above Bishop, CA.? Best I have seen it but could not stay any longer than the few hours we were there.? Darn. Comments welcome.
