Subject: [Leica] Monday Misc.

The USA is full of people from all over the world, thus we don't have a
common background like many other countries.  We also don't have a king or
queen to salute, so we often salute and pledge allegiance to our flag as a
symbol of our country.  It's also symbolic of our history contain 13
stripes to commemorate the original colonies, and the stars, one for each
state.many events like meetings,  school board and even daily school begin
with pledge.
