There are two of our regular Print Exchange participants who have done so,
one a Nikon D850, and one a Sony A7.

The Nikon was purchased from Maxmax.com, and the results are spectacular
(remember that I am looking at A4 prints, not tiny jpegs online). Covid has
probably done me a good deed by making it impossible for me to acquire one,
something I was sorely tempted to do otherwise! They do not come cheap!:

The Sony A7 was converted at Monochrome Imaging, and the results are, IMHO,
not anywhere as good as the D850, both in tonal gradations, or
microcontrast:

This thread on the latter site might help - just remember that the authors
